Here's a thought...

I went for a walk today which involved me climbing and crossing Cleeve Hill. It was pretty clear, and so I could see, way out to the West, the Skirrid and Sugarloaf Mountain near Abergavenny. Now from doing Spa2Summit I reckon that's probably 35-40 miles. Assuming that I could see the same distance in every direction (which wasn't possible with Cleeve Hill, the Malverns etc in the way) but just say I could, that would mean I could see something in the region of 3800-5000 square miles of ground. That's a lot of ground.
Bye.

The Weekend

Bev and I pottered about last weekend, nipping down to Dorset to visit my family on Saturday and then driving to Bibury on Sunday evening. Here are a couple of shots from that pottering.

Waterfalls in the Brecon Beacons

Got rained off today, so I went to the Brecons and climbed up the waterfalls at the end of the Talybont Reservoir. I took a few pics, they're not as good as I would have liked as I was trying to not get wet, not get my camera too wet, not fall in to the raging torrent and trying to compose and meter each shot simultaneously. Tricky. Anyway, here are three that I thought came out ok:
